A catch-all email mailbox is one that captures all the messages sent to nonexistent addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone mistypes it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Only one mailbox per domain name can have this feature activated and in this way you will never miss emails because the other side has an outdated address or has made a typographical error. The disadvantage of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving a lot of unsolicited email messages, but this problem can be solved by using an anti-spam protection solution. It is also essential to know that a mailbox with an activated catch-all functionality cannot forward incoming email messages to a third-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Setting up a catch-all mailbox will be really easy if you have a Linux cloud hosting package with us. You can activate this option through our advanced, albeit user-friendly Email Manager, which is an essential part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer your account. You’ll see all the mailboxes that you have created displayed in alphabetical order and on the right-hand side of each of them there will be a small "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly tell you whether a specific mailbox receives all the messages for a given domain name or not. With one click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this feature whenever you wish. If there is enabled email forwarding or if some other mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a given domain name, you will get a warning notice from our system. The latter won’t disable/replace anything automatically and without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with every semi-dedicated server package that we are offering will allow you to create a catch-all mailbox with ease even in case you do not have much web/email hosting experience. All you need to do to achieve that is click the catch-all icon, which will be next to each mailbox that you’ve created using your domains in the Email Manager section of the Control Panel. Since you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will inform you if you have already created a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding activated. If you decide that you do not want this feature anymore, you can turn it off by clicking again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
